Remember when you worked hard Monday thru Friday and looked forward to the weekend and some major sporting events? Now, If you are outraged that the networks are sticking their hands in our pockets to view sports that used to be included in your basic TV subscription, you are in the right place. This blog post will explore practical strategies to help you join the fight against high TV spots subscription
Sports Viewing Today
It's Sunday and you are ready for some football. Used to be that you could see a morning, afternoon and evening game. There was also a Monday night game too!
Now, you may need as many as four different separate subscriptions to see those games. Plus, those subscriptions are difficult to end so you may be continuously charged for those various subscriptions well after viewing the games you bought earlier.
In Green Bay Wisconsin, it now takes a special subscription to view a home game the day before this Thanksgiving! Packer fans are some of the most passionate football fans in the USA and now, the TV networks are picking the pockets of their fans to charge them extra to see home games from the comfort of their homes.
fostv.biz Strategy for Affordable Sports TV
Across the country, we will compile lists of sporting event advertisers that we can contact with our demands to assist us with eliminating or lowering the cost of viewing once free national sporting events. Advertising rates for major events remain high but if the viewership declines by a significant amount, then maybe the advertising rates need to be renegotiated?
Let's face it America, if the networks get away with this sudden tax on our sports viewing, the amount would not go down over time if not challenged NOW. The networks did not need this income to deliver their product before and they do not need it now. The American public is fed up with cost of living prices going up everywhere. This subscription charge invades our living rooms and adds unwanted complexity into our lives with a blizzard of extra charges.
Please know that while it can cost upwards of $1,000 for two people to attend a single live sports stadium event, we do not endorse boycotting live sports events as they bring significant economic and employment benefits to their locations. In many cities, sports stadiums are mostly financed by the public. We will not finance the television networks to enjoy our sports beyond the basic cable fee we have paid for decades.
We invite all who read this missive to share your thoughts on this idea in the blog, in video form and definitely sign the petition. You may also purchase fostv bumper stickers to grow our numbers so the advertisers and networks know of our dissatisfaction with this new subscription viewing arrangement. We need to put the brakes on this unwanted tax on our ability to enjoy sports in the comfort of our homes. And yes, please continue to support your local sports bar when you can afford it.
